Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to understand data and technology challenges, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and implement reliable, modular data pipelines, APIs, and integrations for production deployment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data pipelines, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Architect composable integrations and APIs to embed client systems within organizational workflows and strengthen platform partnerships.
• Mentor and guide support and engineering teams to ensure timely, proactive, and effective delivery of technical support and enhancements.
• Oversee operational processes such as incident management, change control, and issue escalation to maintain high service quality.
• Review vendor solutions to ensure technology alignment, adherence to enterprise standards, and platform scalability.
• Lead technical delivery teams, planning and coordinating cross‑application dependencies to ensure seamless solution integration.
• Partner with architects, analysts, testers, and project managers to ensure end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise‑grade solutions.
• Conduct root cause analyses, propose permanent resolutions, and drive incident reduction through process improvements.
• Prepare and manage technical implementation plans, ensuring smooth production cutovers and post‑implementation support.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, system optimization strategies, and long‑term data modernization roadmaps.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Enterprise System Integration.
• Proven experience in ETL development, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Expertise with tools and technologies such as:

1. ETL / Data Integration: Informatica, DataStage, SAS DI Studio, QuerySurge, Oracle Data Integrator
2. Databases: Oracle (7.3–9i), MS SQL Server, SAS Base, Hyperion Essbase, OBIEE
3. Script / OS: UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux), Shell scripting, Windows Server environments
4. Version Control & Scheduling: Aldon, Control‑M, ClearCase/ClearQuest
5. Modeling & Reporting: ERWin, MS Visio, SAS Web Report Studio
6. Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and security principles.
7. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.
8. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to business and non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience with modern data architectures (cloud platforms, data lakes, real‑time pipelines).
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and containerization.
• Prior experience in the banking or financial services domain (Basel II experience advantageous).
