Job Overview

A unique position in which the Logistics Specialist‑2 is responsible for the execution of material logistics in a data center environment. This includes the shipping/receiving, storage, distribution, and cycle counting of data center material.

• Support Data Center operations including but not limited to receiving, storing, and shipping materials
• Maintain strict inventory control
• Ensure accurate and timely shipments and receipts
• Maintain accurate records and metrics; perform audits as necessary
• Assists in monthly and/or annual physical inventories; provides inventory reports
• Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
• Keep a strong working knowledge of all operating systems in the work area

Skills

• HS Diploma or GED 1+ years' experience working in warehouse or logistics, receiving, asset life cycle management, or related field
• Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
• Proficient in Windows‑based programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
• Ability to understand and follow safety requirements
• Able to safely lift and move a minimum of fifty‑50 pounds with or without assistance
• Logistics‑related certification(s)

Physical Demands

• May require up to 25% travel
• May require extended periods on your feet
• May require miles of walking per day throughout the Warehouse and/or Data Center
• May require driving a personal vehicle between Warehouse and/or Data Center buildings; excluding the transport of inventory and/or materials
