About the Role
This Data Analyst position is designed for a remote professional specializing in the entertainment industry, with a focus on supporting data-driven decision-making for a Singapore-based organization. The role is suitable for early to mid-career analysts who are adept at collecting, processing, and interpreting large and diverse datasets. The primary purpose is to transform raw data into actionable insights that inform business strategies, audience engagement, and content performance within the dynamic entertainment sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including digital platforms, ticketing systems, and social media channels relevant to the entertainment industry.
- Analyze audience behavior, content performance, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and regular reports using business intelligence tools to communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and product teams to design and execute data-driven experiments and campaigns.
- Utilize statistical methods and predictive analytics to forecast trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and support strategic planning.
- Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant data protection regulations, including Singapore’s PDPA and international standards.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting executive decision-making.
- Continuously monitor data pipelines and reporting systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging analytics technologies, and entertainment market developments to enhance analytical approaches.
Required Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, preferably within the entertainment, media, or digital content sectors.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python (pandas, numpy), or R.
- Advanced skills in data visualization and dashboard creation using platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, A/B testing, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets from digital sources, including web analytics, CRM systems, and social media APIs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business insights.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations, particularly those relevant to Singapore and international audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or relevant technologies are advantageous.
- Prior experience in the entertainment industry or with entertainment-related datasets is highly desirable.
