Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to diagnose and resolve equipment issues both on-site and in the office. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in equipment servicing or troubleshooting. Strong mechanical equipment troubleshooting skills and effective communication are essential. This role requires independent work as well as collaboration with clients and partners in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
On-Site Support
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues at customer locations, including identifying symptoms, analyzing root causes, and executing corrective actions.
  • Handle field assignments independently, requiring minimal guidance from the technical team.
  • Coordinate with overseas manufacturers to obtain technical clarification and solutions for complex issues.
  • Plan and document on-site tasks by preparing the necessary procedures and work instructions.
  • Produce clear, detailed service reports after each visit, supported with relevant observations and photos.
  • Support customer acceptance activities with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Deliver and manage spare-parts handovers at client sites when required.
Office-Based Duties
  • Keep service files, documentation, and project records organized and updated within the internal system.
  • Inspect incoming spare-parts shipments, verify completeness, and prepare delivery records.
  • Address spare-parts enquiries by clarifying client needs and preparing quotations based on supplier input.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, vendors, and partners—locally and overseas—to monitor project progress and provide updates.
  • Offer remote technical assistance through phone, messaging platforms, and email.
Requirements & Skills
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment servicing or troubleshooting roles. Must have strong MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS
  • Candidate that have background in ASEPTIC or PHARMA FILLING EQUIPMENT troubleshooting is Preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently on field assignments.
  • Effective communicator with strong reporting skills and confidence interacting with clients and partners.
  • Comfortable performing on-site work (including Tuas area) and resolving technical issues hands-on.
  • Valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage; multilingual ability is a plus.
