Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified candidate for a tender preparation role. The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and possess 3-5 years of relevant experience in the ACMV and M&E industry. Responsibilities include preparing quotations, analyzing blueprints, and consulting with clients and suppliers to ensure accurate cost estimations. This role requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills and offers a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years relevant experience in the ACMV and M&E industry.
• Experience in cost estimation and tender documentation.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Prepare BQ and Quotations, analyse blueprints and tender specifications within tender closing timelines. Material and Manpower Costing preparation complete with compliance list.
• Rates estimation for items which are not in the contract list
• Assess cost effectiveness of products / projects / services
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
• Preparing tender costings and get quotes from suppliers, contractors
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Establish and maintain tendering process
• Visit site and record information about access, drainage and topography etc
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering
• Preferably with 3-5 years relevant experience in the same capacity preferable in the ACMV and M&E industry.
