CorporateStrategy Manager (Commodity/MNC/CBD/up to $8k)

Overview

Our client is one of the leading commodity trading conglomerates established in South East Asia. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role of the CorporateStrategy Manager is to prepare information for the purpose of corporate strategies planning, and will be based out of its Singapore HQ in the CBD area. The successful candidate will be required to have good understanding on all derivative products including futures, options, as well as physical commodity products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the report which is requested by Shareholder or Management.
• Communicate with Management for preparation of Budget and Long Term Plan
• Gather information from other division and prepare the Monthly Performance Report for shareholder, which consists of documents from various departments such as Accounting, Front Desk as well as Risk/Compliance.
• Prepare parts of the Annual report consisting of (but not limited to) financial performance, and achievement vs projections.
• Liaise with Trading / Deals Desk to gather the information for operational performance
• Liaise with Risk and IT team to plan for functional efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in related discipline (preferably in Accounting/Finance or Economics)
• Min 5 years or more experience in Portfolio Management / Strategy Planning Consulting experience is preferred, but not mandatory
• Required to have strong skills in MS Powerpoint / presentation, and Financial Modeling and Analysis
• General knowledge on financial and accounting terms.
• Good understanding of Micro/Macro economics.
• Strong Skills for Powerpoint / Presentation
• Understands financial modeling (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Projections)
• Advantageous to have general knowledge in financial markets positioning, Forward Curve and Options
• General understanding of logistics jargons such as Incoterms and UCP600.
• Well exposed to economics affairs around the world
• Must have the ability to provide market insights arising from latest developments around the world
