Job description

Role Description

The Corporate Development Executive will play a critical role in driving Unicomp Group’s growth agenda through strategy definition, corporate development, transaction execution, and post-merger integration. Reporting directly to the VP of Corporate Development (Singapore-based), this role will partner closely with C-suite leaders, global and regional growth teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic M&A opportunities across China and international markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping business strategy, coordinating end-to-end M&A processes, and ensuring seamless integration of acquired businesses to maximize long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of the full M&A cycle: strategy formulation, deal sourcing, evaluation, execution, and integration.
  • Partner with C-suite business leaders to define strategic priorities, conduct market studies, and assess industry trends.
  • Identify and develop a strong pipeline of M&A opportunities in alignment with group growth objectives.
  • Prepare and present investment cases, proposals, and recommendations to the Steering and Investment Committees for approval.
  • Collaborate with internal business units and external advisors (banks, consultants, law firms) to manage due diligence and deal execution.
  • Act as a key contributor on cross-functional projects, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Coordinate post-merger integration efforts to ensure operational, cultural, and financial synergies are realized globally.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline
  • Proven track record in M&A and corporate development, with hands-on experience across the deal lifecycle.
  • Background in investment banking, Big 4 transaction advisory, consulting, or corporate M&A roles preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable opportunities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with senior executives and external partners.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken).
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
