A global tech company in Singapore seeks an experienced lawyer to join its legal team for a satellite broadband initiative. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts for ground infrastructure and services, providing legal counsel, and requires a minimum of 5 years of legal experience. Candidates must be qualified to practice law in Singapore or other common law jurisdictions. Enthusiasm for technology and the ability to manage complex projects are essential.
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Amazon Leo. You will be embedded with the Amazon Leo's ground infrastructure services and operations teams (ground gateways, networking infrastructure) and will support the team contracting with field services providers, with a focus on deals in APAC. The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
This position will be based in Singapore. Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.
You will structure, draft, and negotiate a range of agreements (e.g., agreements needed to construct and operate satellite gateways and agreements with field service providers), and counsel the business team on legal issues related to Amazon Leo’s ground infrastructure and field services.
Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
