Corporate Communications Executive
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Executive to join our team at ASME Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and updating the events calendar, maintaining project management documents, content creation, managing social media posts, and providing event support. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to ensure effective communication and project execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Corporate Comms, Social Media and Branding
- Edit, write, and produce content in line with ASME’s communication strategies. This includes the production of e-newsletters, annual reports, publications, speeches, media releases, etc.
- Create and post engaging content for ASME’s social media accounts.
- Ensure and maintain brand consistency for all company materials and collaterals.
- Update and maintain the events calendar to keep track of all events
- Keep project management documents up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
PR and Media Relations
- Engage with media to publicize ASME’s activities
- Draft news releases, craft media replies and coordinate media interviews.
- Maintain a current media database.
- Monitor news coverage on the organisation, executive council members and related industry news.
Event Comms
- Execute communications plans for key events.
- Develop and produce event promotional collaterals and videos.
- Provide support such as photography and emcee duties as assigned.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
Stakeholder Relations
- Support and/or organise stakeholder initiatives such as corporate visits, focus group meetings and dialogues.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for events such as Council Meetings and AGM. This includes recording the proceedings of meetings and preparing documents such as minutes for approval.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in a communications role, preferably within a similar industry
- Tertiary education in Mass Communications, Social Science or related disciplines.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in content management and social media platforms.
- Knowledge and a keen interest in current affairs.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines.
- Self‑motivated and resourceful with good multitasking and organisational ability.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Strong artistic and aesthetic sense is an advantage
- Some experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation
- Familiarity with event planning and coordination
