Job summary

A law firm in Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Conveyancing Associate to manage a wide range of property transactions, including residential and commercial deals. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of post-qualification experience and substantial conveyancing expertise. Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Conveyancing Associate to join our team. The successful candidate should have hands‑on conveyancing experience and be able to manage a wide range of property transactions. Experience such as wills, probate and Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), simple contract drafting or other non‑contentious matters is a strong advantage, and the role may include general solicitor duties across practice areas. This is a varied role suited to a versatile lawyer who enjoys client work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and delivers high service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and advise on a full spectrum of conveyancing matters, including residential and commercial property transactions (sales, purchases, leases, mortgages, refinancing, post‑completion tasks).
  • Draft, review and finalise legal documentation for property transactions, including sale & purchase agreements, transfer instruments, mortgage/CPF charge documents, and related filings and lodgements.
  • Conduct title and legal searches, due diligence, and advise on legal and regulatory requirements to ensure smooth transaction progression.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on wills, probate and LPA matters, and assist with documentation or administration in these areas where needed (good‑to‑have).
  • Maintain and organise matter files, track deadlines (e.g., completion dates), ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, financial institutions, government bodies and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient matter progression.
  • Manage client communications and meetings, ensuring timely updates and excellent service quality.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve internal processes, support business development, and stay informed on legal developments and market trends.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Qualified lawyer admitted to the Singapore Bar with 1–3 years’ post‑qualification experience, with substantive conveyancing experience in a Singapore law firm.
  • Prior exposure to wills, probate and LPA or non‑contentious work is a strong advantage.
  • Detail‑oriented and highly organized with strong drafting, negotiation and client‑service skills, able to manage a varied workload and multitask to bring a matter from start to finish while meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin‑speaking clients is desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
