Job Summary

This full-time Contracts Manager role at KTC Civil Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual obligations, disputes, and negotiations for the company's construction projects. As an integral member of the team, you will play a strategic role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex construction contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Quantity Surveyor (QS) team by establishing clear objectives and motivating members to achieve team goals
  • Manage project profit and loss by overseeing contract and cost management systems to ensure financial targets are met
  • Establish, implement, and monitor robust systems for QS, contract administration, and cost control to enhance operational efficiency
  • Review and analyze project costing, including inter-project and inter-company cost and charging concerns, to optimize resource allocation
  • Resolve contractual and cost-related issues by collaborating with QS, project teams, clients, and subcontractors to achieve timely settlements
  • Take ownership of project cost and contractual settlements, ensuring compliance with contract terms and mitigating risks
  • Negotiate, draft, and administer a diverse range of construction contracts to safeguard company interests and support project delivery
  • Apply expert knowledge of construction law, contract management principles, and risk mitigation strategies to manage contractual obligations effectively
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and informed decision-making
Required competencies and certifications
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating, drafting, and administering a diverse range of construction contracts
  • Excellent knowledge of construction law, contract management principles, and risk mitigation strategies
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve contractual issues
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities to liaise with cross-functional teams
