Project Nature (T26) Provide administration and support for video surveillance system infrastructure in Hong Kong Police Force

Duties

1. Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the HKPF.
2. Responsible for the administration, development and technical support for on video surveillance system, which is an in-house developed system for all networked terminals.
3. Design system layouts, including of cameras (analog/IP), recording devices (DVR/NVR), storage solutions, and network architecture.
4. Integrate closed-circuit television surveillance system with other related system.
5. Perform testing, calibration, and optimization to ensure high-quality video capture, minimal downtime.
6. Respond to help desk request for video surveillance system and provide 7 x 24 technical support.
7. Any other assignments for supporting the IT systems and activities of the HKPF.

Requirements

1. Experience in supporting and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux Server.
2. Experience in development of on-premises video surveillance system.
3. Strong knowledge in video surveillance networking systems.
4. Strong knowledge in Video Streaming and Codecs.
5. Strong experience on using common scripting languages, e.g. shell script, python.
6. Experience in helpdesk call handling.
7. Security vetting is required.

Technical Skills

1. At least 3 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS).
2. At least 3 years' experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10).
3. At least 2 years' experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12).
4. At least 2 years' experience in Linux System Administration (LINli>
5. 1 year's experience in PC LAN Support (PLS) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills

1. At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV).
2. At least 1 year's experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT).
3. Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
4. At least 8 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
