Overview

A Construction Supervisor oversees daily on-site operations, managing crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and building codes. They inspect work quality, schedule tasks, and act as the key liaison between project managers and field staff.

Responsibilities

• Site Management: Direct daily operations, including material deliveries and equipment usage.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and conduct regular site inspections.
• Project Scheduling: Plan and coordinate construction phases to meet project deadlines.
• Quality Control: Inspect work-in-progress to ensure it meets technical specifications and building codes.
• Coordination & Communication: Liaise between subcontractors, engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Resource Management: Supervise, train, and assign tasks to workers, as well as manage on-site material logistics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a construction supervisor, foreman, or similar role.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
