Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Marine HR Manager to join an established and international ship management company. The Marine HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manning and HR operations of an assigned fleet, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and leading a dedicated Marine HR team. This role requires a strong leader with a strategic mindset to enhance seafarer engagement, drive operational excellence, and foster strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Marine HR function for assigned vessels, ensuring they are crewed with qualified, certified, and medically fit personnel.
  • Oversee crew planning, placement, and compliance with flag state and company policies.
  • Establish and manage budgets and cost control for the assigned fleet.
  • Monitor and follow up on P&I cases and crew welfare initiatives.
  • Conduct vessel visits and lead officer conferences to enhance engagement.
  • Represent the company in internal/external audits and client meetings.
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to improve seafarer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Review and determine wage levels based on market trends and industry agreements.
  • Drive training, competency development, and continuous improvement in Marine HR processes.
  • Contribute to business development and corporate resource planning.
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in maritime operations and/or HR, with leadership exposure.
  • Proven management skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of seafarer regulations, compliance, and industry standards.
