Job description

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be the key technical expert on the front lines, ensuring our two-stroke engines are installed, tested, and commissioned flawlessly at shipyards around the world. You are the final link in the chain, guaranteeing our engines perform to their peak potential from their very first revolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • On-Site Commissioning: Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of two-stroke engines at shipyards globally.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase, working closely with the shipyard team.
  • System Testing: Conduct pre-commissioning checks, sea trials, and final tests (e.g., engine control system, safety shutdowns, fuel settings).
  • Client Training & Handover: Train vessel crew on the operation and basic maintenance of the engine. Manage the final handover process.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed commissioning reports and feedback to our engineering and production teams.
Who We're Looking For
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with large two-stroke marine engines.
  • A strong understanding of engine systems, controls, and diagnostics.
  • The ability to work independently under pressure in a shipyard environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to travel internationally (up to 75% of the time).
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
