Job summary

A leading renewable energy company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to manage and drive renewable energy projects across Southeast Asia. This role involves leading the development and negotiation of commercial strategies, ensuring profitability and compliance, while guiding all phases of project execution. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in the Solar PV or energy storage industry, alongside strong project management skills and a solid understanding of the renewable energy sector in the region.

  • Ensure technical specifications and project criteria are fully met.
  • Secure optimal pricing and terms through effective vendor relationship management.
  • Prepare and review documentation for renewable energy project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of regional projects.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager who will be responsible for managing and driving renewable energy projects across the region. In this role, you will lead the development, negotiation, and execution of commercial strategies, ensuring profitability, compliance, and successful project delivery in Southeast Asia.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the structuring and negotiation of commercial and technical agreements with customers, focusing on financial viability and risk mitigation of sustainable projects, including Solar PV, energy storage.
  • Support end-to-end tender processes, including documentation preparation, submission, and bidding.
  • Ensure all technical specifications and project criteria are fully met and aligned with submission requirements.
  • Secure optimal pricing and terms through effective vendor relationship management and negotiation.
  • Prepare and review all necessary documentation (e.g. commercial proposals, contractual documents) for renewable energy project delivery.
  • Work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure project execution is as planned.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of regional projects.
  • Identify AEIs to achieve better returns.
  • Apply operational insights and construction feedback to enhance future commercial planning.
Job Requirements:
  • Possess a Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business Management, Renewable Energy, or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Solar PV or energy storage industry.
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy sector across Southeast Asia.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team to address commercial challenges.
  • Proficiency in Vietnamese would be advantageous.
