Roles & Responsibilities
1. Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
- Act as the finance business partner to end-market commercial and sales teams.
- Provide pricing, margin, and profitability analysis by product, channel, and customer.
- Support development and review of commercial strategies, trade terms, rebates, and promotions.
- Analyze volume, mix, and price variances, highlighting risks and opportunities to management.
- Support new product launches and market expansions with financial evaluation and ROI analysis.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Lead end-market annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
- Monitor actual vs budget performance, prepare variance analysis with clear business insights.
- Develop and maintain commercial KPIs, dashboards, and management reports.
- Partner with sales teams to align forecasts with demand planning and supply chain assumptions.
3. SAP Implementation & Systems Exposure
- Act as a key finance representative for SAP implementation or enhancement projects covering end-market operations.
- Participate in blueprinting, UAT, data migration, and go-live readiness for finance and commercial modules (e.g. FI, CO, SD).
- Ensure proper chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and profitability reporting are embedded in SAP.
- Support post-implementation process stabilization, issue resolution, and user training.
- Drive process improvements and standardization leveraging SAP best practices.
4. Financial Controls & Governance
- Ensure compliance with group policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Review and approve commercial transactions, rebates, accruals, and provisions.
- Support internal and external audits relating to end-market operations.
- Strengthen controls over revenue recognition, trade spend, and customer credit exposure.
5. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present monthly management reports for end-market performance.
- Provide clear financial narratives and recommendations to senior management.
- Coordinate with regional and HQ finance teams to ensure reporting alignment.
- Act as a key point of contact between finance, commercial, and IT teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of finance experience, with strong exposure to commercial / sales finance.
- Hands‑on experience in SAP implementation, rollout, or major system upgrade is highly preferred.
- Experience in FMCG, tobacco, consumer goods, or regulated industries is an advantage.
- Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Practical understanding of SAP FI/CO and SD integration for commercial processes.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with BI tools is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of internal controls and commercial risk management
