Responsibilities

• Machine samples using milling, grinding, manual lathe and CNC lathe machines.
• Help in cutting on bandsaw as required.
• Maintaining HSE and 5S standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

A local branch of a materials testing company has an opportunity for a Machinist to join their rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Machining position performs a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Location: Tuas, Singapore

Job Duties

• Machine samples using milling, grinding, manual lathe and CNC lathe machines
• Help in cutting on bandsaw as required
• Maintaining HSE and 5S standards
• Assist Supervisor in scheduling and managing work schedules as required
• Site work flexibility as and when required
• Flexibility of working timing and shift as scheduled including night shift

Job Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in the machine-shop will be of advantage
• Must possess Diploma or any relevant Certifications
• Flexible to work in shifts or overtime as required by business demands
• Depth of understanding related to machining concepts, measuring instruments and dimensional concepts
• Working knowledge of machine shop safety protocol & 5S requirements
• Flexible to work in other departments & on-site (if required)
