Job summary

A child psychological clinic in Singapore seeks a qualified psychologist to assess and diagnose developmental conditions in children. Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide a formal diagnosis of children's developmental conditions e.g. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc. through a written report
  • Conduct IQ and adaptive tests, and provide reports for enrolment in Special Education schools
  • Help recommend parents on school options
  • Assess and intervene for anxiety, mood disorders, anger management, etc. (for clinical psychologist)
  • Provide exemption of second language or accommodation for children with learning challenges, where needed
  • Recommend parents on the educational path of a child with neurodiverse needs
  • Provide psychological/ behavioural intervention
  • Provide parent training to parents of children with developmental needs on topics such as emotional regulation, behavioural management, etc.
Requirements
  • Masters in Psychology
  • Has extensive experience in the field of Child Psychology, esp. in the area of neuro-divergence
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, especially on coaching parents where necessary
