Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a professional to assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative, and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The ideal candidate will have a recognised medical degree and extensive training in surgery. Vaccination requirements must be met before commencing work. The position is offered on a 1-year contract.

• At least 5 years' post-housemanship training in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years in cardiothoracic or general surgery area.

Job description

You will assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Suitable candidates will be offered employment on a 1-year contract.

Requirements

• A recognised basic medical degree
• Passed the national licensing examination as required in the country where the basic medical degree was conferred (if applicable)
• At least 5 years’ post-housemanship training in the relevant field, of which a minimum of 3 years must be in the cardiothoracic or general surgery area
• A good command of English (both written and spoken)
• Documented proof of:

(i) Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

(ii) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.

Applicants without these vaccinations may apply if they commit to completing the required vaccination(s) before work commencement, upon successful job offer.
