What we expect
- Technology Strategy & Leadership: Set and evolve the company’s long‑term technology vision and roadmap. Choose and scale appropriate architectures, tools, and frameworks. Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and agility.
- Product & Platform Delivery: Collaborate with product and business teams to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable features. Oversee project execution from planning to deployment, ensuring timelines and quality standards. Drive technical initiatives such as .NET Framework to .NET Core migration, performance tuning, and platform scalability.
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS – VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.) with best practices in scalability and cost optimisation. Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or CloudFormation). Maintain uptime, observability, and resilience across all services.
- Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure systems, processes and controls are implemented and meet the applicable regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external advisors for penetration testing, DRP testing, incident response, and audit readiness. Oversee implementation and maintenance of compliance‑driven controls under the relevant laws and regulations.
- Team Building & Stakeholder Communication: Build and grow a high‑performing engineering and DevOps team. Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and partners. Represent technology in board meetings and investor updates as needed.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering and technology leadership, within a regulated financial institution or payment services provider, including experience working with MAS or other regulatory bodies in Singapore and IFSCA or other regulatory bodies in India.
- Strong background in backend (C#, .NET Core/Framework, Web API/MVC, Entity Framework, microservices architecture), frontend (Angular 12+, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS), cloud (AWS – VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Elastic Cache, Route 53), and DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS TRM or similar IFSCA guidelines, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, or equivalent certifications with successful certification completed.
- Knowledge of digital identity, payments, or financial risk systems.
- Track record of hiring, leading, and scaling cross‑functional technology teams.
