About Us & Role

Milvik Bima is a Singapore based global healthtech company dedicated to providing insurance via mobile phone technology to low income consumers across the globe. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Data Officer to define and execute BIMA’s enterprise data and AI strategy to support growth across insurance, health, and digital distribution markets.

This role ensures that data, analytics, and AI capabilities are strategic assets — enabling better decision-making, scalable operations, regulatory compliance, and differentiated customer experiences across all BIMA markets.

The CDO operates at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and execution, translating complex operational realities into scalable data platforms, actionable insights, and production-ready AI systems.

Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Data & AI Strategy

Define and own BIMA’s Data & AI strategy and roadmap aligned with company objectives and multi-market growth plans.

Translate business priorities (sales growth, cost control, claims efficiency, customer experience) into concrete data and AI initiatives.

Lead multi-year planning for analytics platforms, AI capabilities, tooling, and talent.

Act as executive owner for data-driven transformation initiatives.

2. Data Architecture & Platforms

Own the end-to-end data architecture across BIMA, including:

  • Operational systems
  • Data warehouses and marts
  • Analytics abstraction layers
  • Reporting and self-service analytics
3. Analytics, Reporting & Decision Support

Ensure delivery of accurate, trusted, and timely reporting for:

  • Executive leadership
  • Finance and budgeting
  • Sales and operations
  • Market and product performance

Define common metrics, definitions, and analytical models across markets.

Reduce dependency on ad-hoc reporting by establishing reusable, governed analytics layers.

Enable data-driven decision-making at all organizational levels.

4. AI & Advanced Analytics

Lead BIMA’s AI strategy from experimentation to production.

Oversee development and deployment of:

  • Conversational AI (sales, customer service, clinical support)
  • Document understanding and automation
  • Decision-support and reasoning systems

Ensure AI systems are:

  • Scalable across markets
  • Latency-aware and production-ready
  • Monitored for quality, performance, and cost
  • Balanced innovation with operational reliability and compliance
5. Governance, Quality & Compliance

Define and enforce data governance standards across markets.

Ensure data quality, consistency, lineage, and auditability.

Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure adherence to:

  • Local regulations
  • Data privacy requirements
  • Healthcare and insurance-specific constraints
  • Establish clear ownership and accountability for critical data assets
Requirements / Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chief Data Officer or in a relevant senior operations role, ideally within Fintech
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proven experience in statistical analysis, forecasting, and revenue analysis
  • Hands-on experience with predictive modelling and machine learning techniques
