Job description
Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Chemical Engineering Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing plant operations. This position offers an opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge in a hands‑on environment focused on efficiency and safety.


Responsibilities


  • Conduct routine checks on plant equipment following the Field Operation Checklist and report any abnormalities.

  • Offload Sodium Bicarbonate solution from ISO tankers.

  • Operate a forklift for the removal of fly ash and scrap drum bins.

  • Inspect main scrubber inlets for salt deposits, scrubber water pH, sump pits, feeding pump areas, tank farms, kiln gaps, and ash conveyor conditions.

  • Collaborate with the Boiler Technician on fire tube clearing, turbine start‑up, filter replacement, and cleaning tasks.

  • Maintain operational integrity for all pumps and ensure cleanliness in the work area.

  • Utilize a crane to feed sludge bags into hoppers.

  • Assess and document waste conditions from various containers.

  • Perform routine cleaning of the ram feeder and hopper.

  • Uphold exemplary housekeeping before each end‑of‑shift handover.

  • Collect weekly and ad‑hoc samples for laboratory analysis as required.

  • Monitor plant operations, troubleshooting issues related to atomization flow and ensuring functionality of feeding pumps.

  • Record operational parameters to evaluate plant performance.

  • Ensure incinerator parameters remain optimal.

  • Compile and review daily operation reports for efficiency tracking.

  • Effectively collaborate with staff to enhance the plant’s safe operating capacity.

  • Identify and report any observed safety lapses during routine tasks.


Requirements
