Job summary

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and cook dishes according to the menu and company standards.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency at all times.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, plating, and storage.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety (SFA/NEA compliance).
  • Monitor inventory, order ingredients, and control food cost.
  • Train, guide, and supervise kitchen staff (cooks, helpers, dishwashers).
  • Develop new dishes, seasonal menus, and improve existing recipes when required.
  • Coordinate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunction.
  • Ensure timely preparation of dishes during peak hours.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or relevant kitchen role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of food hygiene regulations (WSQ Food Hygiene Certification is a plus).
  • Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize work.
  • Physically fit to stand long hours and handle kitchen workload.
  • Creative, disciplined, and detail‑oriented.
