Job summary

A community healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking a caregiver to provide personal care services to the elderly. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, recording vital signs, and working closely with the clinical team. Candidates should possess relevant healthcare qualifications and have good communication skills. This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications

  • ITE Skills Certificate in Healthcare (Home Care) or WSQ Higher / Advanced Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care).
  • Basic command of English, Mandarin, and local dialects.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Home Personal Care services including assistance with showering and dressing.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure patients are well taken care of.
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members on changes in patient’s condition.
  • Record basic vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure.

Job description
Role & Responsibilities
  • Provides Home Personal Care services including assistance with activities of living (e.g. showering, dressing, feeding, toileting, transferring, and mobility support), elder sitting, medication reminders, mind-stimulating exercises and simple exercises.
  • Works closely with the clinical team to ensure that the patient is well taken care of.
  • Communicate and coordinates with team members updating them on any changes in the patient’s condition or needs.
  • Take and record basic vital signs (e.g. Temperature, blood pressure and respiration rate.)

  • Reports to: Programme Executive
  • Internal Contacts: Care Associates and Nurses
  • External Contacts: Patients and Caregivers
Qualifications and Skills
  • ITE Skills Certificate in Healthcare (Home Care) or WSQ Higher / Advanced Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care).
  • Basic command of English, Mandarin, and local dialects (advantageous).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
Working Location

Working Hours
  • 5-day work week (Monday to Friday)
  • 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Off days: Saturdays, Sunday and Public Holidays (However, attendance at organization events on weekends may be required when neccessary.)
