Job Responsibilities

1. We are a social enterprise cafe serving quality food at good price.
2. This position of Sous Chef will report to Head Chef. He or She will support Head Chef in all parts of food production from the kitchen --
   • Food preparation, including mise en place before each meal period.
   • Cooking of food items in accordance with specifications.
   • Each on the food par level after each meal period.
   • Ensure good housekeeping of the kitchen area, keeping the areas clean, tidy and organised.
   • Support the team in inventory management, including stock-taking, ordering, checking and receiving goods.
   • Support the practice of hygiene handling and proper storage of food items.
   • Ensure ingredients are fresh.
   • Participate and support fresh ideas on items to be offered on menu.
3. To perform any other tasks and duties assigned.
