Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Singapore is looking for a Resident Technical Officer to assist in handling technical and design issues on site. The ideal candidate should possess an ITE certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering, have at least 5 years of relevant experience, and be accredited with a valid RTO Practising Certificate. Responsibilities include supervising site works, ensuring compliance with specifications, and maintaining site records. This position is critical for the project's timely completion, with work expected to commence in January 2026.

Qualifications

  • ITE certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee with valid RTO Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Resident Technical Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Consultant Team with technical and design issues at site.
  • Ensure works are in compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain site records and ensure safety precautions are enforced.

Job Description:
  • Assist Consultant Team to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Consultant Team
  • Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Consultant team.
  • Check through construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure adequate safety precautions are enforced on site.
  • Resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
  • Maintain site records.
  • Estimated commencement of work in January 2026.
Job Requirements:
  • ITE certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) with valid RTO Practising Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years working experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
  • Preferably with experiences in concrete repair and/or marine structure.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.
