Job summary

A leading professional association for in-house counsel is seeking a Business Development Senior Executive/Executive in Singapore. This role focuses on driving flagship events, enhancing membership engagement, and supporting community initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong project management, communication skills, and experience in event coordination. Applicants must possess qualifications in Business, Marketing, or Communications, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. This position is open only to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.

  • Support the Director in executing flagship events.
  • Assist with logistical aspects including venue selection and registration.

  • Collaborate in developing programs and initiatives for chapters.

Opportunity

The Business Development Senior Executive / Executive plays a pivotal role in driving SCCA’s flagship and bespoke events, strengthening chapter engagement, and supporting membership growth initiatives. Working closely with the Director, the role requires strong project management, communication, and the capabilities to ensure high‑quality event delivery and meaningful community impact within Singapore’s in‑house counsel (IHC) ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
1. Flagship Events (Sponsor side)
a) Event Coordination
  • Support the Director in executing flagship events (sponsor side).
  • Assist with logistical aspects, including venue selection, registration, and on‑site management.
b) Marketing and Promotion Support
  • Aid the Director in executing marketing strategies for flagship events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance event visibility and attendance.
c) Vendor and Partner Liaison
  • Work closely with the Director to liaise with vendors and partners, ensuring smooth event operations.
d) Feedback Collection
  • Collect feedback from attendees and stakeholders.
2. Bespoke Events Support
a) Event Execution Support
  • Aid the Director in executing bespoke events tailored to specific member needs.
b) Feedback Collection
  • Collect and analyze feedback from bespoke events.
3. Chapter Initiatives
a) Chapter Support
  • Assist the Director in developing programs and initiatives for chapters to engage their local communities.
  • Provide operational support to regional chapters under the Director’s direction.
b) Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of chapter initiatives.
4. Membership Growth & Retention
a) Membership Strategy Support
  • Assist the Director in developing and implementing strategies to grow and retain membership.
b) Member Engagement
  • Develop activities to engage and retain members, supporting the Director’s objectives.
  • Foster a sense of community and belonging among members.
c) Membership Data Analysis
  • Analyze membership data to identify trends and opportunities.
Key Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in events, community engagement, partnerships.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
