Job description

As a Business Development Manager Flo, you will play a key role in expanding our large business customer base through direct sales of our retail energy products and renewable energy solutions. Reporting into the Managing Director, we are seeking a motivated and energetic direct sales champion to join our dynamic sales team. You will be responsible for generating leads, providing product information, and closing sales through various channels to market.

What you’ll do

This position is a core part of the sales team and day-to-day will include:

  • Sales and Business Development : Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and work to grow Flo’s large business customer network and increase sales opportunities and volumes.
  • Lead Generation : Identify and develop leads through various sales channels to market.
  • Client Relationship Management : Onboard, develop and maintain strong relationships with large business customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Product Knowledge : Possess in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and services to effectively present them to large business customers.
  • Networking : Attend industry events and engage in networking activities to build and maintain a robust professional network.
  • Technical Proficiency : Utilize CRM systems and other relevant software tools to manage relationships, track sales activities, and generate reports.
  • Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure that all activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, mitigating any potential risks.
Qualifications
  • Direct Sales Experience : Previous experience in direct sales or a related field (energy sector experience is highly regarded).
  • Sales Acumen : Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and the ability to close deals efficiently.
  • Communication Skills : Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information, negotiate terms, and resolve issues with large business customers. This is to create and maintain positive relationships with large business customers lead generation sources.
  • Problem Solving skills : Address and resolve any issues or concerns that large business customers or clients may have, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Industry Experience : Relevant energy industry experience and exposure to the large business customer and renewables solution market.
  • Market Knowledge : Keeping up to date about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide valuable insights to large customers and lead generation sources.
