Job description

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Technology Portfolio Manager to lead the development and stewardship of our digital and automation technology portfolio.

This role is central to driving innovation and creating impact through collaboration with R&D divisions, public agencies, and industry partners.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded professional with a strong background in pre-sales, solution architecture, and consulting, coupled with experience in co-innovating with public and research institutions to build next-generation technologies.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Portfolio strategy and innovation development
  • Cross-sector collaboration and technology incubation leveraging industry partners
  • Develop go-to-market plans, including solution design, pricing strategy and placement
  • Manage technology lifecycle and governance for each of the portfolio asset
  • Trusted advisor to senior leadership on digital trends and innovative technologies
  • Work with R&D leaders, policy makers, and cluster development teams to shape national innovation programmes
  • Portfolio reporting - track KPIs and TRLs to ensure alignment between commercialisation and adoption goals with tech development
Ideal candidate

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital transformation, automation, or industrial technology domains.
  • Strong track record in solution architecture, technology consulting, or pre-sales engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated experience working with R&D divisions, public sector partners, or innovation ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies: industrial automation, cloud/edge computing, MES, AI/ML, and digital twins.
  • Strong interpersonal and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to navigate both technical and policy discussions.

Preferred:

  • Prior involvement in publicly funded R&D programs or joint innovation platforms.
  • Familiarity with national innovation frameworks, e.g., A*STAR, EDB, MTC (Singapore), or similar international counterparts.
  • Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, or similar automation and digital ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of open architecture frameworks, digital thread integration, or standards like OPC UA, RAMI 4.0.
