Job description

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team in Singapore. This is a part-time opportunity (4 hours per day). The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sales, excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the translation and localization industry. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, building strong relationships and driving revenue growth in the APAC region and globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential clients through market research, networking events and outbound outreach (e.g. cold calling, emails, LinkedIn).
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients throughout the sales process.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collabora te with internal teams (e.g. project management, marketing) to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and progress in CRM systems.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows and conferences.
  • Prepare for tradeshows by researching attendees, scheduling meetings and creating promotional materials.
  • Engage with potential clients and partners during tradeshows to generate leads and build relationships.
  • Follow up promptly with leads and contacts made at events to convert opportunities into business deals.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in translation / localization or related industries.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Strong understanding of the translation and localization industry and its services.

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.

Familiarity with the APAC market and local business practices.

Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and adaptable to change.

The candidate must be a Singaporean citizen.
