What you'll do:

As a Business Analyst Assistant Vice President, you will immerse yourself in a variety of analytical tasks designed to provide actionable insights for senior leadership. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve close collaboration with colleagues across different regions as you develop sophisticated reporting tools that enable better decision‑making throughout the organisation. You will be responsible for conducting thorough analyses of both revenue streams and expenditure patterns while ensuring that all findings are communicated clearly through well‑crafted reports. By supporting budgeting processes, reviewing cost allocations from related parties, assisting with Board‑level presentations, and participating in special projects as needed, you will become an integral member of a team dedicated to driving financial performance. Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also strong interpersonal skills; your ability to work effectively within teams will help foster an inclusive environment where everyone’s contributions are valued.

  • Provide comprehensive analytics and insights to support revenue growth initiatives and effective expense management for senior executives including the CEO and CFO.
  • Develop robust Business Intelligence reporting tools that empower management, business heads, and support departments to self‑analyse their performance and make informed decisions.
  • Design analytical tools to identify expense patterns or themes, enabling more informed decision‑making on matters such as corporate rates versus standard rates, flight categories taken, P&L impact of exception approvals, and timeliness of expense submissions.
  • Conduct detailed revenue and cost analysis on both monthly and ad hoc bases, benchmarking against prior year results, budgets, and forecasts to highlight key trends.
  • Assist in preparing periodic management reports as well as committee and Board presentations by summarising monthly trends and key movements to facilitate discussion and decision‑making.
  • Analyse allocated costs from related parties to ensure alignment with agreements, value for money, and appropriateness of services provided.
  • Contribute to the production of revenue and cost budgets and forecasts by providing insightful commentary on variances and emerging trends.
  • Support business unit leaders in critically evaluating budgeted costs while identifying areas for potential savings or efficiency improvements.
  • Investigate any cost overruns by collaborating with business or department heads on remediation plans that are practical and sustainable.
  • Participate in ad hoc tasks or new projects as required by the evolving needs of the Finance department.
What you bring:

Beyond technical skills, your ability to collaborate with others—balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail—will set you apart. A positive attitude towards teamwork coupled with organisational skills ensures that you can contribute meaningfully even when faced with tight deadlines or shifting requirements.

  • Demonstrated minimum 4 years experience in business analysis within financial institutions is essential for understanding complex financial data sets.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence or analytic tools is required to develop effective reporting solutions that meet organisational needs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel is necessary for manipulating large data sets and creating detailed financial models or dashboards.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification ensures you have the academic foundation needed for success in this analytical role.
  • Self‑motivation combined with the ability to work independently allows you to manage multiple priorities efficiently without constant supervision.
  • Being a dependable team player who can multi‑task effectively is crucial for balancing competing requests from various stakeholders across regions.
