Storefriendly is one of Singapore's leading provider of self‑storage solutions and the only provider in Singapore that has incorporated the usage of robotic self‑storage technology. Our clients are mainly businesses and individuals who require clean, safe, climate‑controlled and 24/7 access storage.

The Group expanded rapidly since its inception in 2019 and now has 7 conveniently located branches across the island. To complement its suite of self‑storage solutions, the Group also added moving services, wine storage and co‑working spaces to our product offerings for customers.

We are seeking a reliable and responsible BUILDING TECHNICIANS to join our Facilities Team.

THE JOB

The Facilities Team is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the 7 branches we currently operate and dedicates itself in ensuring that it enables smooth operations. Our building technician will be hands on in painting, plastering, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting works.

Key activities are:

• Patrolling and inspecting branches for defects, to be fixed or reported
• Touch of paint throughout the branches where reasonably possible to reach with basic equipment
• Changing of light bulbs/tubes where reasonably possible to reach with basic equipment
• Ability to putty/sealant and smooth over damaged walls/areas
• Basic ability to replace/adjust/install equipment such as door handle, locks, lights, switches, trolley wheels, etc.
• Basic plumbing to ensure leaks do not go unanswered
• Other ad hoc maintenance duties

THE CANDIDATE

Ideal candidates should possess the following:

• Positive attitude, consistency, and ability to work independently
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities
• Basic knowledge on basic contracting, plumbing, and electrical work is required, in depth knowledge is highly advantageous
• Minimum 1 year experience in contracting work is required, several years of experience is highly advantageous
• Knowledge in asset management, building management, fire compliance
