DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design plans usingcomputer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software and work with databasetools, such as BIM (building information modelling).
• Work from rough sketchesand specifications created by engineers
• Help designwithengineering techniques
• Help the engineers theywork for by spotting problems with plans and designs
• Work under the supervisionof engineers
• Add details toarchitectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques
• Prepare multiple versionsof designs for review by engineers
• Specify dimensions,materials and propose new layout to suit site condition
• Able to work or go to sitetaking measurement & site checking during construction until final AsBuilt drawing handover complete
• Drawing control andfiling
• Must pay close attentionto details so that the plans they are helping to build are technicallyaccurate to the outlined specifications.
• Work closely withengineers and other designers or contractor to make sure that the finalplans are accurate. This requires the ability to take advice andconstructive criticism.
• Work under strictdeadlines and efficiently in order to produce the required outputaccording to set schedules.
• Ad hoc duties assigned bySupervisor/HOD
