Job Summary
The BIM role is responsible for coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and implementation across architectural and M&E disciplines. The role ensures the production and integration of accurate, clash-free models aligned with project requirements and LTA/MRT standards, facilitating effective design coordination, construction planning, and digital delivery.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Coordinate architectural and M&A BIM models with structural, civil, and other disciplines.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LTA BIM standards, and client requirements.
- Conduct clash detection, resolve coordination issues, and manage BIM issues using tools like Navisworks or BIM Track.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure the timely delivery of coordinated models.
- Support project planning through 4D simulation and construction sequencing when required.
- Prepare and manage model submission schedules and documentation.
- Train, guide, and support project team members in BIM use and standards adherence.
- Manage BIM data exchange and CDE (Common Data Environment) platforms.
- Participate in project meetings and technical reviews.

Technical Competencies
- Proficient in BIM tools: Autodesk Revit (Archi/M&E), Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM360/ACC, and Dynamo.
- Familiar with LTA/MRT BIM standards and submission protocols.
- Experience with clash detection, 3D coordination, and model validation.
- Understanding of 4D/5D BIM applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 and CDE environments.
Skills & Knowledge
- Good knowledge of construction processes and design coordination.
- In-depth understanding of architectural and M&E design elements.
- Knowledge of MRT systems, tunneling, station layouts, and M&E infrastructure is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Formal Education
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Major Study / Specialist (Education)
- Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services.
- BIM Certification or training (preferred).
Experience Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in BIM coordination, particularly in large-scale infrastructure or MRT projects.
- Prior experience in main construction coordination and BIM implementation is essential.
- Proven track record in resolving multidisciplinary clashes and facilitating model-based collaboration.
