Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a qualified Mechanical Engineer. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance of structural drawings, preparing detailed design documents, and coordinating with project teams. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering and has 3–4 years of experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of BIM/Revit MEP are essential. Bilingual candidates in English and Mandarin preferred.

Qualifications

• Drafting experience in M&E services is a must.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all structural drawings & specifications are fully compliant with project requirements.
• Responsible for all technical drawings, 3D modelling and documentation.
• Prepare drawings and detailed design documents for preliminary, construction, and as-built using BIM Modelling / Revit / AutoCAD.
• Design and optimise the layout of the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) System (e.g., duct and pipe sizing, routine, equipment location, etc.
• Coordinate & communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project team members.
• Lead and guide BIM Modeller / Coordinator
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to address design-related queries and provide clarifications.
• Participate in design review meetings and contribute insights to improve the overall design process.
• Maintain organised and up-to-date documentation of all drawings, revisions, and related project files. Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards and industry regulations.
• Conduct quality checks on site to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Address feedback and revisions promptly to meet project deadlines.
• Upkeep the record of BIM/Drawing versions and ensure BIM deliverables and documentation follow BEP or requirements/instructions as stipulated.
• Any other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 3–4 years of working experience in the related field.
• Drafting experience in M&E services is a must.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit MEP is an added advantage.
• Hardworking, willing to learn, and with a good working attitude.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts).
