Redstone Commodity Search are working with a growing hedge fund looking to hire a proprietary futures trader, with a focus on base metals / some exposure to base metals, to be located in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement trading strategies in the base metals markets, including cross-market and regional arbitrage (e.g. China vs international flows).
  • Manage futures arbitrage opportunities across both precious and base metals, covering products such as gold, silver, copper, aluminium, zinc, nickel, lead and tin.
  • Monitor and consolidate position holdings, analyse exposures and provide accurate reporting on P&L, balances and performance.
  • Conduct in-depth industry research, tracking market developments and delivering high-quality reports on sector trends.
  • Identify and capture profitable investment opportunities through data-driven market insight and analysis.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of direct trading experience within futures or commodities, with proven expertise in arbitrage strategies and a strong P&L track record.
  • Sharp market intuition combined with strong organisational, planning and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent execution skills with clear, confident communication and the ability to coordinate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with resilience under pressure and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related disciplines.
