Job Description (Professional at the Branch Office Corporate Lending and Investment Section):

Roles & Responsibilities

As a professional at the Branch Office corporate lending and investment section, build and maintain a well-diversified credit portfolio in accordance with the Branch's business strategies.

Review, analyze, and monitor detailed financial and quantitative information of existing and potential borrowers, on a timely basis. Prepare documentation in compliance with internal procedures.

Monitor and report events and changes of borrowers in a timely manner.

Closely communicate with the Japan Head Office regarding the Branch corporate lending and investment business, such as:

  • Discuss business strategies.
  • Report on business transactions and other necessary information.
  • Obtain and maintain inter-ratings of borrowers.

Build and maintain stable relationships with clients and other business partners.

Explore new business opportunities with existing and potential borrowers.

Work on other tasks and duties instructed by the Head of Department and Senior Management of the Branch.

Job Requirements
  • Relevant work experience (at least 7 years in the banking industry).
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Multi-task team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient spoken and written Japanese required to liaise with Japan Head Office and Japanese clients.
