We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Portfolio Implementation team as an Assistant Vice President/Vice President.

What will you do in the Portfolio Implementation team?

  • Lead and execute equities portfolio activities, including injections, withdrawals, rebalancing, and transitions.
  • Recommend and implementation of hedging or equitisation, using both physical and derivatives, for cash / tilt management.
  • Responsible for generating trade orders, including proposing and sending orders, managing compliance checks, liaising with traders to ensure best execution
  • Monitor portfolio risk, performance, and exposures, including cash flows; ensuring adherence to defined tracking error thresholds.
  • Optimize transition costs throughout all stages of portfolio implementation, e.g. portfolio optimisation, pre/post-trade cost analysis.
  • Uphold rigorous accuracy standards, ensuring alignment with policies and investment objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other internal teams to ensure precise and timely execution.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure portfolios are structured and maintained in accordance with established design principles.
  • Utilize technology and analytical platforms to streamline workflows and enhance portfolio implementation efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships and credibility with internal stakeholders, including investment teams, risk management, and operations.
  • Engage in strategic projects and contribute to the development of best practices in portfolio implementation.


What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA) preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in portfolio implementation, index portfolio management, or trading within a leading asset management firm, preferably in public equities
  • Strong understanding of the market landscape, investment products, trading, and portfolio construction, particularly in public equities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with portfolio management and/or trading systems, along with proficiency in data analysis and process automation.
  • High attention to detail, strong collaboration skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
