Position Overview

The Automation Application Engineer - AVEVA Customization & Development will be responsible for developing, customizing, and supporting software tools across the AVEVA platform using PML, Python, C# .Net and SQL.

Directly reporting to the EIS Group Lead and coordinating with other EIS Application engineers for the customization and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize and enhance AVEVA applications such as AVEVA E3D and AVEVA Engineering to support FPSO-related engineering disciplines (Piping, Structural, Hull, Topsides, Electrical, Instrumentation).
• Develop scripts, macros, rules, templates aligned with FPSO project standards using various programming languages.
• Automate repetitive engineering activities such as model updates, report generation, drawings, and clash management.
• Enable data flow between Aveva 3D models, engineering data, and onboard operational systems to strengthen the digital twin.
• Develop dashboards, data extractors, and tools supporting engineering-to-operations data handover and continuous updates.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Train the engineering team to use customization efficiently.
• Provide day-to-day support to engineering teams using AVEVA tools.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve issues with customization.

Documentation & Quality Control

• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, coding standards, and training materials tailored for the Engineering team.

Qualification & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in program development and AVEVA/Hexagon or any engineering tools is added advantage. Preferred experience in the engineering or IT industry and good knowledge of software development in engineering tools.
• Strong programming experience: PML, C#, .NET, Python, SQL, and scripting languages.

Preferred Experience

• Understanding of 3D modeling concepts and engineering workflows.
• Previous work experience with software development for EPC contractors, shipyards, or FPSO operators.
• Experience with asset integrity systems (AIMS), maintenance management tools, or digital twin applications.
