Job summary

A leading automation solutions provider in Singapore is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to develop CAD designs for industrial automation equipment. The ideal candidate will lead projects from conception to completion, optimizing manufacturing processes through automation. A degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and at least three years of experience in automation design are required. Candidates should be proficient in 3D and 2D CAD software and possess strong leadership and project management skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Automation Design experience preferred.
• Experienced in Industrial Automation and Robotics Systems is preferred.
• Able to travel around Asia Regions regularly.

Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare 3D and 2D CAD of Industrial Automation Equipment and Systems
• Develop automation solutions and perform detailed analysis on new and existing manufacturing and supply chain processes
• Initiate optimization and breakthrough solutions using automation and mechanization to improve productivity and quality
• Prepare project and design documentations, BOM and technical reports
• Manage and report on project schedule, budget, and technical solutions to stakeholders
• Manage and lead projects from conceptualization through commissioning and stabilization
• Support on-site installation, troubleshooting and testing of automation systems
• Recommend internal and external business owners on automation opportunities
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to develop automation solutions
• Keep abreast on industrial automation advancement and drive implementation initiatives
• Any adhoc duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering
• At least 3 years of Automation Design experiences is preferred
• Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD Software (Solidworks, Inventor, NX, AutoCAD, Draftsight, etc.)
• Preferably experienced in Industrial Automation, Robotics Systems, Vision Systems, Jigs and Fixtures
• Experienced in Material Selection, Fabrication Methods and Components Selection will be advantageous
• Strong Leadership, Project Management and Decision-Making Skills
• Skilled Project Pitching Skills to Business Owners
• Good multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment
• Able to travel around Asia Regions regularly for short and long duration
• Able to perform overtime if needed
