Job summary

A Singapore-based accounting firm is looking for an experienced accountant. You will handle full sets of accounts, prepare financial statements, and manage tax compliance for client portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in accounting software. Strong written English and Mandarin skills are essential for effective communication with clients. Qualifications

Job description
Job Descriptions:
  • Handle full sets of accounts and daily bookkeeping for client companies (AP, AR, bank reconciliation, expenses, etc.).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS / MPERS.
  • Support preparation of management reports, financial analysis and audit schedules.
  • Manage Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax and SST filings.
  • Assist with basic tax advisory and ensure clients’ compliance with LHDN / Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) requirements.
  • Prepare employer statutory forms such as EA Form, CP22 and CP21, and support payroll tax (PCB) compliance.
  • Prepare and file XBRL financial statements via MBRS in line with SSM requirements.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a local Malaysian accounting or audit firm (firm background preferred).
  • Good knowledge of MFRS / MPERS, Malaysian corporate tax rules and LHDN filing processes.
  • Proficient in accounting systems such as Autocount, Xero, QuickBooks, SQL Accounting or MYOB, and familiar with MBRS XBRL tools.
  • Strong written English skills; able to prepare financial statements and tax documents independently.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible and able to manage multiple client portfolios.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking and listening) is required to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
