Job summary

Job Responsibilities
Assessments

Assist and participate in psychological assessments for students to support educational/vocational placement decisions

  • Intake and placement assessment
  • Learning difficulties
  • Behaviour of concern, FBA
  • Mental Capacity Assessment
  • Psychological Assessment. Provide psychological interventions to help address students’ academic, social and/or emotional difficulties
Deliver interventions/Case Work

to address students’ academic, social and/or emotional difficulties

  • Use evidence-based and data-driven intervention/strategies in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team, i.e. Case Management Team, under supervision.
  • Identify and prioritise behaviour to intervene using PBS framework.
  • Implement intervention plan for cases including teaching others to implement the intervention.
  • Monitor progress of the intervention through data collection.
  • Review and adjust intervention according to data collected, under supervision.
Build stakeholder relationship
  • Provide Psychological inputs to other specialised departments and relevant professionals
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and improve students/client care services
Maintain, professional, legal and ethical standards
  • Adhere to professional standards of practice, i.e. legal and ethical practices within the scope of competency.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for professional practices.
  • Identify areas of improvement in client care services, to deliver quality improvement projects.
Uplift professional practice in Psychology
  • Participate in continuing professional development.
  • Identify areas of improvement on model of care and service delivery based on evidence-based practice.
Job Holder Specifications & Attributes
  • Possess a Degree in Psychology, preferably some relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Resourceful, Pro-active work attitude with good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • A team player who is able to work effectively and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Proficient in computer software, such as MS Office
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, with supervision
  • Experience working with special needs children would be an added advantage
