Assessments
Assist and participate in psychological assessments for students to support educational/vocational placement decisions
- Intake and placement assessment
- Learning difficulties
- Behaviour of concern, FBA
- Mental Capacity Assessment
- Psychological Assessment. Provide psychological interventions to help address students’ academic, social and/or emotional difficulties
Deliver interventions/Case Work
to address students’ academic, social and/or emotional difficulties
- Use evidence-based and data-driven intervention/strategies in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team, i.e. Case Management Team, under supervision.
- Identify and prioritise behaviour to intervene using PBS framework.
- Implement intervention plan for cases including teaching others to implement the intervention.
- Monitor progress of the intervention through data collection.
- Review and adjust intervention according to data collected, under supervision.
Build stakeholder relationship
- Provide Psychological inputs to other specialised departments and relevant professionals
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and improve students/client care services
Maintain, professional, legal and ethical standards
- Adhere to professional standards of practice, i.e. legal and ethical practices within the scope of competency.
- Adhere to policies and procedures for professional practices.
- Identify areas of improvement in client care services, to deliver quality improvement projects.
Uplift professional practice in Psychology
- Participate in continuing professional development.
- Identify areas of improvement on model of care and service delivery based on evidence-based practice.
Job Holder Specifications & Attributes
- Possess a Degree in Psychology, preferably some relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Resourceful, Pro-active work attitude with good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- A team player who is able to work effectively and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team setting
- Proficient in computer software, such as MS Office
- Able to work effectively under pressure, with supervision
- Experience working with special needs children would be an added advantage
Remuneration and point of entry will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
