  • Support the accounting and finance functions for Navigator Investment Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Life Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Account Management
  • Ensure adequate liquidity for daily trade settlements.
  • Oversee daily operational payments.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Investment AccountingReconcile trade postings, trailer revenue billing and receipting, and bank balances.
  • Prepare posting of business accruals and expense entries.
Investment Accounting
  • Reconcile trade postings, trailer revenue billing and receipting, and bank balances.
  • Prepare posting of business accruals and expense entries.
Month-End Closing & Reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries during the month-end closing.
  • Assist in compiling schedules and reconciliations to support financial close activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and variance analyses.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
Special Projects
  • Support design and development of the financial accounting hub for a new trading platform.
  • Develop new accounting and operational processes to support platform implementation.
  • Assist the Team Lead with regular management reporting.
General Support
  • Support internal audits and financial statement audits.
  • Prepare tax data compilation, including GST filings and corporate tax returns.
  • Prepare data for statutory reporting.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation projects.
  • Perform other ad hoc finance duties as assigned.
  • Mentorship and Team DevelopmentProvide guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have/possess:

  • A minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in accounting, business administration, or finance-related functions. Progress toward a professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA) is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • A relevant educational qualification, such as a degree or diploma in accounting or finance.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and demonstrate solid organizational skills.
  • A growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and self-development.
  • A genuine interest in the financial advisory industry and investment-related topics.
