Our client is a leading American brand name in the field of consumer electronics, with more than 100 years in existence and more than 2,000 employees globally. We are representing the Singapore team to hire for this senior management position in new product introduction.

Associate Director, New Product Introduction
Responsibilities
  • Define and lead NPI manufacturing strategy, standards, tools, and best practices to ensure product quality, safety, manufacturability, and on-time launches.
  • Drive early design engagement using DFM, DFA, DFT, P-FMEA, and mistake-proofing to optimizeproduct, process capability, and test coverage.
  • Oversee manufacturing readiness, production performance, quality plans, risk management, KPIs, and compliance across internal and supplier operations.
  • Lead process optimization, automation, test standardization, cost reduction initiatives, andsustainability considerations across global manufacturing sites.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to assess risks, resolve issues, and align manufacturing capabilities with business needs.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing NPI team through clear objectives, KPI management, coaching, resource planning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related discipline preferred) with minimum 15 years of experience in NPI and Manufacturing Engineering, with 10+ years in people and team leadership roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, basic electronics, injection molding, and consumer product manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, manage cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and drive alignment across stakeholders.
  • Proactive, resilient, self-driven, analytical, and willing to travel extensively to support suppliers and global manufacturing operations.
