Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is recruiting a junior associate to join the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Southeast Asia Corporate team. Based in Singapore, the successful candidate will experience work across the Southeast Asia region, through our association with Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung, and our formal law alliance with Prolegis. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of our Asia Pacific wide team.

You will have the opportunity to work on complex cross-border deals across a range of sectors working with a strong client base including many of the firm's regional and international clients.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• An excellent academic record;
• High-grade qualification and a current practicing certificate in a major legal system;
• Significant experience working on international mergers and acquisitions matters in a private practice environment, preferably in international or top tier Singapore law firms;
• Ideally experience with advising private capital investors such as private equity, asset managers, investment funds and sovereign wealth funds on international M&A and investments
• Experience working in an international environment;
• Experience having worked in Singapore would be preferable;
• Ability and drive to work on complex and demanding matters as part of a high performing team;
• Exceptional communication and time management skills;
• Self-motivation, willingness to learn and enthusiasm to challenge yourself;
• Native level English skills
