Qualifications

Job description

Supporting the Group Data Protection Officer, the Assistance Vice President is responsible for the delivery of Great Eastern’s Data Protection Management Programme, to balance compliance with relevant data protection laws with data innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage personal data incidents, assist with data incident reporting requirements and liaise with regulators
  • Perform risk and impact assessments
  • Provide advice to Business Units on personal data protection at various stages of the personal data life cycle, and to facilitate the implementation of personal data protection controls and measures into data-driven design thinking processes
  • Perform trend analysis to identify any gaps or systemic risks, as part of ongoing review and enhancement of Great Eastern’s Data Protection Management Programme
  • Keep updated on the latest regulatory developments and industry best practices, and ensure compliance with personal data protection laws, including oversight of Great Eastern entities outside of Singapore
  • Assist with Data Protection Trustmark and Cross Border Privacy Rules certifications
Qualifications
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Data Protection, Data Governance or Regulatory Compliance related roles
  • Familiar with the PDPA, with at least one IAPP certification preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with and work in cross-functional teams
  • Meticulous, able to adapt and to work in a fast-paced environment
