Responsibilities

This role includes both farmer and hunter responsibilities. However, it is primarily targeted at candidates with a hunter background, as the focus is on developing new business for the business unit.

  • Support in executing sales strategies and achieving revenue targets.
  • Manage and grow relationships with both local and Japanese clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead generation.
  • Conduct technical discussions and product presentations with clients, including procurement and R&D teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms in line with company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, technical, finance) to ensure timely delivery, service and prompt payment collection.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports using CRM tools.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
Requirements
  • > 5 years of sales experience in the plastics, chemicals, or manufacturing industry. (Open to candidates from plastics-related manufacturers or distributors.)
  • Good understanding of polymer materials and their industrial applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) for liaising with Japanese speaking counterparts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Oưice and CRM systems.
  • Candidate must be comfortable to attend entertainment.
Advantage
  • Experience working with MNCs or suppliers in the plastics industry.
  • Knowledge of sustainable or specialty polymers.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
