Position:

Assistant Restaurant Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Support:
    • Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operational duties to ensure a smooth and efficient restaurant operation.
    • Monitor front-of-house and back-of-house operations to maintain service quality and standards.
    • Ensure the restaurant is fully stocked with supplies, and manage inventory control.
    • Help implement new policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  2. Customer Service:
    • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service and addressing customer concerns promptly.
    • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure all team members are trained in delivering excellent customer service.
  3. Staff Management:
    • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of restaurant staff.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to front-line staff including servers, hosts, and kitchen employees.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and give constructive feedback to team members.
    • Help schedule and manage employee shifts to ensure proper coverage during busy periods.
  4. Health, Safety, and Cleanliness:
    • Ensure the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and cleanliness standards as set by local authorities and company policies.
    • Perform regular checks on food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
    • Assist in maintaining and updating all health and safety records.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Assist in managing restaurant budgets and track operational expenses.
    • Help control costs, such as labor and food costs, while maximizing profitability.
    • Track sales and other key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports to the Restaurant Manager.
  6. Marketing & Promotions:
    • Assist in implementing promotional activities and events to increase restaurant visibility and sales.
    • Help monitor the effectiveness of marketing strategies and suggest improvements.
    • Maintain and build relationships with local businesses and community members to drive customer traffic.
  7. Team Leadership:
    • Inspire and motivate team members to meet restaurant goals and maintain high standards.
    • Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and resolve conflicts when necessary.
    • Lead by example by maintaining professionalism, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, health regulations, and restaurant operations.
