Position: Assistant Electrical Engineer (ES)
- Salary: $2,800 to $3,300 + AWS + VB
- Working Days: 5 days (based on project); OT Paid
- Working Location: Joo Koon (Transport is provided from 6 MRT pickup points – Paya Lebar, Serangoon NEX, Bishan, Jurong East, Joo Koon, Woodlands)
Requirements
- At least Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum one (1) year’s experience in an electrical engineering environment
- Training Provided for Entry Level
Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend site survey/meetings/discussions with client/contractors/sub‑contractors on related matters together with the LEW (when required). Provide feasible solutions and coordinate with owners/users, consultants, vendors/contractors on engineering functional requirements and ensure the objectives are achieved.
- Prepare report and method statement whenever necessary. Perform all electrical works in adherence to EMA regulations and guidelines under LEW supervision.
- Assist the PE/LEW in carrying out regular site inspections on LT and HT installations to ensure all maintenance programmes are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines.
- Standby and partner with LEW in attending emergency call‑up services at customer installations. Investigate and determine the root cause of faults and report (where applicable).
- Interpret basic schematics and SLD diagrams. Take on a Specialist Equipment role, may receive specialised training and subsequently train internal staff.
- Plan and execute corrective or preventive maintenance programmes. Participate in and support Annual Shutdown exercises as required. Ensure proper housekeeping of spare parts, equipment and tools.
- Assist the LEW in test and commissioning of electrical systems. Provide excellent service to meet client expectations. Ensure all work is carried out safely and/or in accordance with safety procedures.
- Use data analysis skills to perform in‑depth analysis of testing data collected from the field and summarise findings.
- Work as a good team player to collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand the operation of various electrical equipment and systems.
- Show willingness to learn how to use various condition‑monitoring software, sensors and testing instruments.
- Participate in in‑house training sessions or workshops to enhance data analysis skills.
- Collaborate with team members to share insights and knowledge.
- Understand high‑voltage electrical networks.
- Use Microsoft Office in expert mode to prepare test reports and presentation material.
- Complete tasks assigned by the team with minimum supervision.
- Other ad‑hoc works.
